Benjamin Schall is the President and Chief Executive Officer, and Trustee of Seritage. Prior to becoming CEO and President, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Rouse Properties, Inc. (NYSE: RSE) from 2012 to 2015. At Rouse, he oversaw the redevelopment and operations of a $2.5 billion portfolio of 35 regional malls, totaling 25 million square feet across the country. Prior to that, Mr. Schall was Senior Vice President with Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE: VNO). At Vornado, his responsibilities included overseeing Vornado’s suburban retail shopping center business, consisting of 18 million square feet in 140 assets representing value of over $3 billion.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Brian Dickman is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Seritage. Prior to joining Seritage, Mr. Dickman was Chief Financial Officer at Agree Realty (NYSE: ADC), where he was responsible for all corporate finance, capital markets, accounting, financial reporting, treasury and investor relations activities. Prior to that role, he was a real estate investment banker covering public REITs and other real estate companies at Lehman Brothers, Barclays and RBC Capital Markets.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION
James Bry is the Executive Vice President, Development and Construction of Seritage. Prior to joining Seritage, Mr. Bry was the Senior Vice President, Development & Construction at Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE: VNO) from 2006 to 2015 where he oversaw development and redevelopment of approximately six million square feet of its shopping malls, community centers and urban retail properties.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL COUNSEL
Matthew Fernand is the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Seritage. Prior to joining Seritage, Mr. Fernand was a partner in Sidley Austin LLP’s Real Estate Group, where he practiced from 2005 to 2015 and focused on the financing, development, acquisition and disposition, and leasing of commercial properties and the formation of real estate joint ventures and partnerships.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF LEASING AND OPERATIONS
Mary Rottler is the Executive Vice President of Leasing and Operations of Seritage. Prior to joining Seritage, Ms. Rottler served as the Vice President of Real Estate at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., (NYSE: WMT). In this capacity she was responsible for overseeing all facets of new store development in the eastern half of the United States and delivered approximately 350 new stores per year. Prior to that time she was the Vice President for Realty Supplier Management and Compliance. She joined Wal-Mart in 2001.
Senior Vice President Leasing and Development
Maurice Funes is Senior Vice President, Leasing and Development. He previously served as Vice President of Real Estate for AMC Theatres, where he was responsible for acquisitions, renovations and procurement of new theatres. Prior to that, he led the eastern half of the US Real Estate division for JCPenney, where he spent 15 years in various positions including store expansions, new store growth, renovations and disposition of non-core real estate holdings, and managed a portfolio of more than 50M square feet.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT DEVELOPMENT
Paul D’Arelli is Senior Vice President, Development at Seritage where he oversees development across the portfolio. Prior to joining Seritage, Paul was President of National Development Advisors, Inc. where he provided development advisory services to Sears Holdings for three years focusing on redevelopment of its larger scale development opportunities across the country. Before then, he was development counsel and partner at Greenberg Traurig where he was actively involved in the execution of major complex mixed use redevelopment projects in the Southeast.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF DEVELOPMENT WESTERN UNITED STATES
Kacy Keys is the Senior Vice President, Development at Seritage where she oversees development across the Western United States. Prior to joining Seritage, Kacy was with JH Snyder for ten years, acting as in-house counsel and director of development where she played a lead role in a number of mix-used projects across the country. Before then, she served as the Senior Real Estate Representative within the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development, City of Los Angeles where she spearheaded the Adaptive Re-use ordinance and major development projects in downtown Los Angeles.
